Intro to Linoleum Block Carving, 2-Hours

Service Description
In this 2-hour class, participants will learn the basics of carving and printing with linoleum blocks, also known as linocut. Throughout the course, we will talk about tools and materials, then each design and carve our own miniature stamp-like block. Each participant will take home their own stamp and a patterned print, made with the blocks carved by all members of the class! _______________ Included in the course fee; + blade carving tools for use during the course + soft block rubber linoleum to be carved and taken home by each participant + paper to make multiple print editions of their carved piece _______________ About the instructor; Caroline specializes in linoleum block printing, but they are also a painter, baker, ceramicist, and entrepreneur in their art business, Cassava and Rye. Outside of her artwork, Caroline works on a local regenerative farm where she grows all kinds of seasonal vegetables. Her background is in wildlife biology and environmental education, which have shaped her inspiration and favorite art subjects: plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms

Cancellation Policy
Paradise Press and Print Studio reserves the right to cancel a workshop if fewer than 3 participants register, the possibility of dangerous weather conditions, and any unforeseen building or studio issues. If Paradise Press and Print Studio needs to cancel or reschedule a workshop, participants will have the option to continue to be enrolled in the new course time or request a refund or course credit. ________________ Participant Cancelation: We require at least 3 days notice of cancellation, regardless of reason, to receive a full refund. Any cancellation less than 3 days prior to the workshop, will receive a workshop credit good for 60 days for any available workshop of equal value. If you are more than 45 minutes late, you will be considered a “no show” and it will be too late to receive a refund, workshop credit, or begin typesetting & printing at this point.
