Service Description

In this class, participants will conceptualize, create, and print a one-color card design. Participants will be taught how to typeset with wood or metal type and then use a phrase to print on a 4" x 6" folded card. The studio has and extensive collection of type and imagery to play with in the print. Each person will print 10 cards, score, and fold their final design. This class is a great way to make your custom-designed card for unique holidays. ________________ Participants can expect the following; + Up to 1 letterpress type form setting and print with one color using a brayer + Up to 10 copies of your final printed card + All supplies included in the price including paper, ink, and use of materials + Instruction and studio time to complete the project ________________ This class meets from 10:00am–1:00pm + Tuesday, June 25 ________________ About the instructor; Ashley is the owner of Paradise Press and Print Studio and loves teaching her favorite printmaking techniques. She is especially fond of letterpress printing because of the complexities and details needed to complete a print.

Cancellation Policy

Paradise Press and Print Studio reserves the right to cancel a studio working day if the possibility of dangerous weather conditions and any unforeseen building or studio issues. If Paradise Press and Print Studio needs to cancel or reschedule a membership date, participants will have the option to continue to use the membership at the agreed-upon time/date or request a refund or studio credit. ________________ Participant Cancelation: We require at least 3 days' notice of cancellation, regardless of reason, to receive a full refund. Any cancellation less than 3 days prior to the studio space, will receive a studio credit for the amount paid. If you do not use any days of your scheduled membership, you will be considered a “no-show” and it will be too late to receive a refund or credit. To cancel or reschedule, please email heyhacienda@gmail.com ________________ Studio Use and Working Practice: Paradise Press monitors participant working practices through video and voice recordings through our Ring Alarm system. Paradise Press is not responsible for any injury caused by the participant while using the space or the tools available and used by the participant. Participants are expected to respect the studio and the tools they are allowed to use. Any tools found damaged or missing after the participants booked studio use time will require the participant to pay for the tool or replace it. If a participant is found using the space recklessly or destroying tools or the space, participants can be revoked access rights to the studio and their membership terminated regardless if they have used all the days in the membership.
